3 of 8!

I've started working on my end of year gifts for a few teachers, staff, and friends. I'm making a Paper Trey gift set assortment, 8 different thank you cards for each boxed set. So far I've completed 8 each of the above cards. I worked dilengently on a fourth today, but after too many goof ups, sent that batch to the circular file! Well the image layer anyway, the base I will recycle into something else. Sometimes persistance just does not payoff and ends up causing plain old frustration!

I'll be packaging the cards up in those wonderful clear boxes that Papertreyink revealed on their website, also including a gift card for each teacher to spend at their favorite restaurant, bookstore, or coffeehouse.
Because these cards will be a set, I decided to have a few repeating themes in addition to the same layout. In common are: patterned papers, an Old Olive band of cardstock, the piercing on each image layer to weight it at the bottom, and either a ribbon or brad embellishment. Colors, images, and sentiments will vary.
For cards 4 through 8, the layout will be a top-fold portrait layout with mutual elements as well. I think that this will unify the set, even though the colors and such are very different.
Well, I think I'm going to go clear my head before I restart on that 4th card! Off to the yard to do a little deadheading - always good for letting the mind wander a little bit.
ETA: ACCKKK!! Something is up with Blogger posting, it will not accept the spacing between paragraphs or have the font be the correct spacing! I will try and edit it again later and see if I can get it to comply.
Supplies: Stamps: PaperTrey: Green Thumb, Butterfly Wishes, Little Lady, Papers: Bashful Blue, Blush Blossom, Kraft, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Cameo Coral, Basic Black, Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Assorted patterned papers, Inks: Assorted Chalk Inks, Accessories: Ribbons, Mini brads, Mat Pak and Piercing tool, SW markers, Spritzer tool, Dimensionals
