Love Ya Bunches
It's Sunday and that means Splitcoaststamper's Featured Stamper Challenge is up and running!
If you are unfamiliar with the challenge, Beth highlights the gallery of a talented stamper and the challenge is to select a card from their gallery, change at least 2 items, and credit the original artist. This week cwilliams was selected. I chose this card from her gallery and changed up the colors, the sentiment, and stamp sets. But kept the layout and the field of flowers with a twittering butterfly the same.
This challenge can be perplexing at times because CASEing can be a difficult thing for some of us. The one this week went fairly quickly, probably because I picked a layout that I have used before that is also one of my favorite layouts. The colors were determined by this beautiful patterned paper. The colors remind me so much of my good friend Jenn Balcer, I know she'd love to play with this paper, so who knows, some card size swatches may be taking a postal trip soon!
This card will accompany our gift to Jay's mom later today, full of our Mother's Day wishes to her on her special day.
ETA: You might be seeing a number of cards with that wonderful pink striped grosgrain - there are 13 of them left from the video making session. LOL Each time we would shoot, and after I'd snipped the ends, we would review the video, find something that bothered me, and start over again.
