Tying a Ribbon

Here's a link just in case the video doesn't work.
Ribbon Tying Video

Lisa asked for a ribbon tying lesson, here you go, Lisa!

Let's just say I will never be appearing On the Lot anytime soon! I also have a very patient teen director, thanks Morgan!

This little project took about 2 hours and this video was the best one of the bunch~ I hope that it makes sense to you. Crucial pointers: after doing your initial crossover, make sure you have your ribbons in the 12:00 and 6:00 position. Be sure you wrap your 6:00 piece up and around the back side of your 12:00 piece before threading through the hole to finish your knot.

Tying a bow is very similar, just make your ribbon loop with your 12:00 piece, and wrap your 6:00 piece up and around before pushing the ribbon through the hole.

Happy ribbon tying!

Great video, Val! Does it surprise you that I tie my ribbon the same way? LOL! That yummy May Arts ribbon helps tie a beautiful knot, too. I bet Morgan loved spending the day with you on Mother's Day weekend doing this!

wow! Thanks for helping all us ribbon-tying-challenged people! Who would have thought it would take 2 hours to shoot something so simple.

*Thank you SO MUCH*!!! This is wonderful, so clear. I think the 12 o'clock/6 o'clock hint was the best - that's where I've been going wrong. Thank you!!!!

Valerie,
Thanks so much for sharing the secret to a pretty tied ribbon. I must have watched the video 20 times! I think I have it down pat now. Cards look so nice with neatly tied ribbon! This way you don't have to tie a bow!

Val, it's an excellent video. Will you mind if I lead my customers to this the next time they sound frustrated with their ribbons? Great job!

Thank you for this video. Tying ribbon always frustrates me. Usually by the time I get it right I'm so aggrivated that I can't remember how I did it for the next time!

Very nice video but you could have sung a tune while you were doing it LOL.

Thanks for the video guide. I tried to tie a ribbon before on a card for mother's day. I sadly couldn't do it properly. I'm going to try again but follow this video guide.
