Christmas in June!

A quick peek at another Thomas Kinkade by CHF card this morning before I head out for a drive up to Los Angeles to see Wicked tonight!

The image on this card is called Village Christmas and it is so beautiful and old fashioned, perfect for a simple Christmas card. I inked up the image in Ranger Weathered Wood dye ink and stamped onto vanilla cardstock. While it was still wet I quickly applied clear embossing powder, shook of the excess, and heated it up. The texture from this simple process is so lovely and can only be appreciated in real life. Ranger inks stay wet a bit longer than your average dye ink and allow for embossing.

The stamped, embossed image was trimmed, distressed, and mounted to a burgundy layer. Brads were added in the corners, and then the ribbon was tied up like a package. Gray cardstock is Bazzil, and was deckle-edged with my trusty old, rolling Fiskars cutter. The sentiment was stamped directly to the textured paper using Palette Noir ink. A black matting was adhered, and the main image was attached using dimensionals.

This card is easy to duplicate, but has an elegant look, perfect for Christmas!

Happy Friday!
