Morgan and Erin, 3rd and 4th from the right, preparing to go upside down!
Morgan and Erin, spinning upside down, sideways, and really high in the sky!Yesterday we spent the day at the San Diego County Fair (formally the Del Mar Fair and how I will always think of it) with Morgan, Erin (Morgan's bf) and Brett. Morgan and Erin are huge ride lovers and spent the day upside down, sideways, and spinning around. No thank you. When I was young I loved doing all that crazy stuff - now, older and with a pesky inner ear disorder, it causes problems for me, sadly. I do love to watch though!
Of course what is the fair without something deep fried and artery clogging? We ate our yearly fare of those things deep fried - twinkies, zucchini, green apples, corn dogs, Pepsi (yes, you read that right, deep fried Pepsi) funnel cake; add in some pizza and ice cream and I am sure our hearts are wondering what the heck we did yesterday! We do not normally eat much fried anything.
But once every couple years won't hurt ya!
Our exhilarating day yesterday makes for an very tired Thursday morning, however, there is some very exciting news to keep all of us going! Head over the Mona Lisa Moments and you'll see her post about a very exciting, soon to be revealed, line of stamps being produced by Cornish Heritage Farms. Guess the artist contests ends tonight; all winning entries will be put into a random drawing for a full set of the soon to be released stamps! Lisa so kindly asked me to be part of the design team for this wonderful line of stamps, so I've had fun secretly playing for a little while.
Have a wonderful Thursday!
