Rio Seco STAR* Bookmarks
My project between projects today was creating these bookmarks for the kids in Brett's 3rd grade class. 2 hours from start to finish and the kids will have personalized bookmarks for all their summer reading!
The how to is pretty easy on these: I OSW'd a 12 x 12, plus an additional 6 x 6 piece of Whisper White with Rio Seco school colors purple and yellow, using the stars from the SU! set Love It, added a little spatter of Lovely Lilac marker with the Color Spritzer, and cut into 1 3/8" x 5 7/8" strips. Then I stamped their names with Short OrderAlpha in Palette Noir ink, and mounted them on strips of Lovely Lilac card stock that measured 1 1/2" x 6". Then off to Office Depot for laminating, popped into Michaels for the edge stitched purple ribbon, and back home to trim the bookmarks from the laminated sheet, hole punch each bookmark and attach the ribbon.
Supplies: Stamps: SU! Love It, Short Order Alpha, Inks: ColorBox Fluid Chalk Lavendar, Yellow Citris, Palette Noir, Accessories: Grosgrain Ribbons, Hole punch, Laminating
