You know the story....

It all began with taking the "retireds" off the shelf and moving them onto another bookshelf, which led to sorting all craft areas (I'm in 2 areas - family room and den closet), which led to reorganizing and tossing, which led to Michaels for storage solutions, which led to straightening the the hallway linen/medicine cupboards which led to carpet shampooing, which led to......thankfully it didn't lead to painting, which is how our kitchen remodel began back a few years ago! LOL However, all of it led to no stamping for a number of days!

Today, just about everything is put into its proper place, and things are looking pretty tidy around here. I'm waiting for an SU! shipment that will finally have the new papers, colors, and word sets. I broke down and ordered them when I decided to order several rolls of the ribbon that is being retired, revamped, repackaged, whatever they are doing to it.

So while waiting, I decided to use what I have and make a card that shows that even with existing papers and stamps, you can create something that looks alot like a sample SU! has published on the front cover of their preview catalog.

Card is 4 x 4, Rose Red is the base, a Garden Green (does anyone actually use this color?!) stamped strip, and images on a Very Vanilla panel. A couple of Sweet Shapes hearts popped up on dimensionals with pierced stems, and a Simple Sayings (wonder if this will make the new catalog?) thank you sentiment, and my interpretation of the preview card is finished.

I have a good friend who makes a card and sends it out right away, what a concept! I am going to try and incorporate this more into my stamping process!

Happy, I can't believe it is already Thursday, Day!

Supplies all SU!: Stamps: Sweet Shapes, Simple Sayings, Paper: Rose Red, Garden Green, Very Vanilla, Inks: Rose Red, Garden Green, Black, Accessories: Mat Pak and Piercing tool, Dimensionals, Paper snips, Black gingham check ribbon

I need to read a chapter or two of that story... I have closets that need cleaning, etc. The only thing that is organized is my stamp room!

I love your cute card! Believe it or not, I just used my Garden Green marker TODAY for the FIRST time. I used the cardstock for the first time a couple weeks ago. I have owned them both for, hmmm, I don't know, 4 years! (Marker was still nice and juicy.) I have yet to use the inkpad. Maybe before the end of the month, I could challenge myself.

I love the colors and piercing on your card! Very cute!

I haven't even started organizing my newly retired stuff. I'd better get busy. ;)

Beautiful card and great idea. Garden Green is my favorite green. IMHO it's the most natural green shade.
