Forever & Always

When Mojo goes on a vacation, sometimes one must resort to CASEing or copying to see if it will come to the surface again. That was the case (pun intended!) today. I really wanted to stamp but I had no original idea in my head. I looked around on SCS, checked out a couple of magazines, and finally found inspiration in the SU! Fall/Winter Catalog. I found it on page 73. I've wanted Linen Prints Designer Paper since I saw this card when the catalog first came out. I ordered it, put it away in its designated spot, and it has been sitting since.

I need to send out a wedding card to a young couple who recently got married. I've known the family for over 22 years, we met in Lamaze class before Kyle was born. The boys were friends for years until the family moved to Washington state. Anyway, Brooks was married earlier this month and I am finally getting the card/gift sent their way. Now, I know this isn't a traditional wedding card, but neither was their unique and handmade invitation/announcement.

As some of you know, CASEing is difficult for me, I often make many changes and work very hard to get the card to completion. I would rather just create, for me it's usually so much easier. My head is usually brimming with ideas. Not lately though as you well know.

Back to the card, some changes were made from the inspiration piece, different stamp sets used, a bit of a layout change, but the original card is certainly there. The card base is Very Vanilla, all edges of card stock and patterned paper are edged with Palette Burnt Umber ink. The big flower from Looks Like Spring is inked in Cameo Coral and topped with a clear button tied off with the new Artichoke grosgrain (which looks olive enough to go with the brads and olive matting). The finished image is popped up with dimensionals. The three chipboard strips are cut from lightweight chipboard I have floating around here, covered in the new textured card stock, and edged with ink. Forever & Always, from So Many Sayings, is inked up and punched out with the Word Window punch.

So, tomorrow sometime comes an order from SU! Maybe there'll be some mojo in the box as well!

Until then,
Happy Stamping!
V.~

All Supplies are SU! unless otherwise noted.
