Hanna and Cosmo are under the mistletoe! LOL Still playing with the soon to be released (Fri, October 26th) Hanna Stamps 'Tis the Season set and Cosmo Cricket paper. I really enjoy the accessory stamps in the set; this card uses the mistletoe image as the focal point. The wonderful star snowflake is scattered tone on tone on the saffron base.
The image was colored the old fashioned way, no Copic markers here, I used the lid of an ink pad and an aqua painter. After the coloring was complete, the leaves and bow were highlighted with a Gelly Roll pen for a bit of sparkle. The image looks better in real life, it seems a little flat here, but you'll have to take my word for it, the subtle edge sponging, the coloring, and the glitter are beautiful. The oval layer was sponged while still in the Spellbinders oval die which makes it so easy to keep that oval line around the embossed part of the layer. The image panel is mounted with dimensionals on the saffron scalloped oval, which is then mounted on the artichoke scallop layer with dimensionals. The finished layers are then again mounted to the card with dimensionals - hey, I LOVE dimensionals! LOL
Calendar note: Christmas is only 2 months away! *runs away screaming!*
