Happy World Card Making Day!

Today, as most card maker's know, is World Card Making Day, how could I not stamp a card? I did this after breakfast this morning, using the SCS Inspiration Challenge for inspiration. The idea behind this challenge is to convert the picture (things like bedding, shower curtains, tiles, etc.) into a card. This week's was a Pottery Barn quilt set.

So, by using the challenge as a jumping point, I determined my colors of Soft Sky, Ruby Red, More Mustard, and Wild Wasabi. The big flower from the inspiration piece reminded me of Bodacious Bouquet, so that set came out for the second time this week! The decorative edge on the card mimics the quilted edge seen in the set. I added Linen in Soft Sky to keep the fabric feel alive, a bit of piercing, 3 square brads, and the ribbon finish off the card.

Happy Card Making Day!

p.s. Who else hears the theme to Happy Days when they use this sentiment set?! LOL
