Michelle asks....

I wanted to ask how you get your pictures to come out so clear and showing all your details? Mine always seem to come out dark. What setting do you use on your camera?

Michelle, I am pretty much a photo novice, but I have a really great camera. I use the Canon Digital Rebel, generally speaking I use the auto focus setting, but sometimes use the Macro setting.
I take my pictures using 2 OTT lights that flank each side of the project. I just display whatever project I am shooting on 2 pieces of white card stock. Then I edit it all through Photoshop. Rarely, and I mean rarely, do I adjust anything there other than resizing the picture and adding a watermark.

I hope this helps a little.

I have that same camera and I've been messing with all of the settings to try and get the right picture. It must be the white background and the lights you're using that give you the better picture. I'll try the white CS and see if that helps. Thanks so much for sharing your info, and you great creations!
