pics to warm up those are having a white winter wonderland. We woke up to rain this morning so the sunshine from yesterday is gone. I snapped these pics yesterday at the same time I was shooting the cymbidium pictured below. The first photo is a tangelo, or minneola; a wonderful, almost seedless citrus. A cross between a grapefruit and a tangerine, I believe. Delicious and Brett's favorite.
The lemons are Meyer lemons and are from a potted tree that I rescued from my grandmother's property before her house was sold when she passed away. It's a constant reminder of her when I look out and see it in the yard. It almost didn't survive, Riley, our pooch, gnawed it down to the stump when she was a pup. It's now planted in the ground and doing wonderful.

p.s. the next post will be a card, I promise!

I really think I could leave the snow (twist my arm!LOL) and come visit you for Christmas!! Are you close to Disney?? :) Just kidding! But thanks for the wonderful pics. I can't believe you have fruit trees growing in your backyard. That's fabulous!! I love Lucky's card, too. Can't wait to get mine!! :)
you are evil!
Hi, I had to show my daughter your fruity pics because she keeps saying she's needing some tropics, and this smarty pants has a question for you. She wants to know if the first fruit should be called a vegetable since its fruitless? "Technically its not a fruit anymore mom," she says. Merry Christmas
ps she loves photography too so appreciated your pic. NICE was her exact comment
What a terrific camera you have - you captured the light perfectly! Just LOVE the lemon picture!
I always thought a house whose yard was blessed with fruit trees was truly a happy house.
Happy Holidays Val!
