Hanna Stamps! Gift Giving set is just about to be released on Friday, the 14th, and here is a little sneak peek of the main image from this fun set. In addition to Hanna wrapping a gift, there are many fun accessory stamps; bows, boxes, scissors, tape, etc. The sentiment is also from the set.
After making 30 Christmas cards and 8 Christmas gift bags earlier today, I just didn't want to think Christmas cards anymore. So when I played with this set tonight ( I promised Kristi I would play today!) I decided to go in a fun birthday direction. After inking Hanna with Versafine Onyx Black, I colored her with reinkers and a watercolor brush on Neenah Solar White card stock. The base card is corner rounded to coordinate with the rounded edge of the patterned paper. The image is matted on black and again on pomegranate before attaching to the base card. Pomegranate ribbon is threaded through the layers and secured with a knot. Should I tell you a little secret? When you goof and smudge the edge of the completed image, do you toss it? Sometimes I do if there isn't a way to salvage it, but in this case, the Circle of Friendship came to the rescue. Looks intentional, doesn't it?! It's actually covering up a caramel smudge. *wink* The layout inspiration is from Anna's (Sweet Miss Daisy) blog. I flipped the sketch on its side to accommodate Hanna, hope that's okay Miss Anna!
