Talk about time crunches! I figured that the first week of the New Year many of my regular Stamp Nite friends would be too busy, too tuckered out, too whatever to want to get together and play on the 4th. I was wrong. After sending out a last minute Lucy email on the 1st, a good number want to play. I was under the gun to come up with projects in just a couple of days.
These are the projects I came up with, 3 cards and an explosion box. For the upper picture, I've used SU!'s Time Well Spent set, a set that was a gift for all SU! demonstrators. I've paired it up with Porcelain Prints designer papers. The flowers are stamped on designer paper, cut out, and accented with a white gel pen. A rhinestone brads centers the larger flower on the left. The smaller card, which is 4.25 square, has a gift card holder adhered inside . The Loves ya' set is a card and an explosion box. Yes, it's using last year's valentine papers, but I have loads of it, and need to use my stash up, plus I have nothing that screams valentine right now. I've paired it with the SU! set Priceless. The card uses shadow stamping on the base and features 2 tags. If you are a demonstrator you might recognize this layout from Stampin' Success. The explosion box features the same papers, wide satin ribbon, and a scallop tag. Directions for the explosion box may be found here. Please note I did make a measurement change on the lid. For me the one in the tutorial crumpled the box a bit, so I changed the measurement to 4 5/8" square, scoring each side at 1", then followed the rest of the SCS instructions.
I am looking forward to tomorrow now that all the planning and cutting is done! I have never planned so late in the game, I am usually all ready a week before!
Have a wonderful evening! Thanks for stopping by.

Wow! Good for you! I love all your projects. Too bad you didn't live closer!! :) Do you charge for your stamp nights??
Love the projects!!! I can't believe you come up with such great ideas so quickly! Can't wait...can't wait!
these are absolutely darling!!!
I love the way you are making the most of your Hanna stamps, They are great to see.
I love how you gave the Porcelein Prints paper a fun and cheery look. You show them as being much more versatile than I've pictured. I think they're beautiful in these colors. Also, I'm happy to see I'm not the only one using older papers (Loves Me). When I buy a pack of paper it seems to go on forever! You came up with some wonderful last minute projects for Stamp Night!
hey Val - hope you had fun at class last night. Had mine last night too and I also used Porcelain Prints paper. Never thought of pairing it with that new set...now I want to make your cards too!
