Stamp Nite is fast approaching. I like to be prepared well ahead of time, just in case the week gets chaotic before the actual event. So while the 1st is a ways off, I had time today to think about what we might do. I thought Nichole's Criss Cross Box was a fun project, add a matching card made with some cutting scraps from the box, and you've got a neat little Valentine gift for a co-worker, child, teacher, etc.I've randomly stamped images from the SU! set Sweet Shapes all over a piece of Pretty in Pink card stock. After stamping, score the card stock as shown in the linked directions, make your cuts and put the box together. A simple red belly band and stamped scallop embellishment complete the box. Add a cello of Valentine treats topped off with ribbon and you're almost done! Now just make a sweet 3 x 3 card using the same supplies.
So, I went to Target today to pick up a prescription and went looking for Valentine candy, there is barely anything out on the shelves, narry a box of kids valentines to be seen either. So curious me asked where they were. They aren't being put out until the 1st....WHAT? Seems to me in years past the good were out, oh I don't know, October...JK, but way before the 1st of February.
I wonder what their thinking is? I was lucky to find these Valentine kisses, although come Stamp Nite the cellos may be filled with something else should I find what I was really on the hunt for.
Now I need to think of 2 more projects.....hmmmm.

These are so cute Val!! Don't you LOVE the new ribbon? I just got mine in today and love it - I just wish it came in more colors!
These are adorable! Love them!
Val,
Love your projects. Too cute! Try Wallmart. (At least in Temecula) They have tons of Valentine candy, cards, gifts, etc. I'm sure you can find just what you need.
Great use of sweet shapes. I hardly use this set as I find it hard to use. TFS
This set is so cute! I just love that ribbon -- it's perfect!!
Oh...I love these, Val! So pretty!!
Gosh, Val, I want to come to your party. These are great projects. It would take my bunch a week and a day to get this much done...sigh...
Pretty projects!! I also went to Target looking for goodies for my projects and there was hardly anything on an endcap! Very odd since Walmart and everywhere else is all set for Valentine's Day!
Fabulous! Love it, love the colors!
this is just adorable!! love the little set!!
These are so cute!!!
That's weird. I was just at my Target, and you could hardly walk in the place for all the Valentine candy stacked everywhere!
Love the pink and red together - a great Valentine's look. The stamp's adorable, too. thanks for sharing.
So cute!!! TFS Val!
Totally LOVE it Val!!!!! Clever you are !!!!!!
Val, I've recently found your blog and added it to my favs! My Target has changed it's strategy on where it locates holiday items. They did this at Christmas. Now they display all the holiday stuff along the far right wall (as you are entering the store) and towards the back. They had the school supplies back in that corner earlier.
sweet project - i know someone will be thrilled to get this!
Too cute!
Love your treat box, thank for the link to the template, love Nicole's stuff. I had overlooked this one.
