I've deleted the 2 previous posts. I was not seeking a pity party, my emotions are raw from an unrelated incident, not even stamping related, and just should have kept my mouth shut.
Hi Val, I didn't see your previous posts, but it sounds like you are having a bad day. I love coming to your blog and love your SCS gallery. Keep up the good work, Debby
I didn't see the posts either...but here are some BIG HUGS from the Heart of Texas! We've all been there girl...so you just don't worry about it....you are among friends. Love your blog!
Val - I've been there and done that and I am certain everyone has. No worries, I absolutely love your blog and don't stop in to comment quite as much as I should but be guaranteed that I am in awe of everything you do.
Valerie, I did see your previous posts and didn't think that there was anything at all wrong with the. The comic was funny and I appreciate your insight. I feel like that at times as well.
I'm guilty of not commenting all the time but I do enjoy your work and appreciate your sharing with us.
HI Val, Seems my blog reader still has the previous posts. I am glad I was able to read them. I just wanted to let you know that I read your blog every day. I don't post a comment very often but I do enjoy seeing what you create.
I read about 80 blogs a day, I know it is a disease. I barely get thru them w/o even thinking of posting lol.
YOu don't have to post every day, lord knows I don't! Seems like sometimes days slip away and then I go to post and wow... a week has passed! Then I do feel guilty. Other times I can feel the monkey on my back... thinking, I need to post something soon, soon soon! Yikes!
Take a deep breath and step away for a bit. Things change in our lives and it's okay if there is no room for blogging. It's a big commitment. No pity here girlfriend!
Val - Whatever is going on, hang in there - and absolutely no apologies... Sounds like you are hurting a bit, and even though i don't know you i wish i could help. i feel like i know you because i read your blog every time you post - i am just not one to comment. guess that makes it a one way street - not really fair for you. whatever you decide should be the right decision for you, but i know i would definitely miss seeing your creations and hearing a bit about your life. you seem like a lovely person - one i would like to meet someday! (I am in socal too - so maybe it will really happen some time.) take care...marni
I read both posts on my Reader and can completely understand. I think many people get caught up in the thought/feeling that they MUST post everyday. Suddenly there is such pressure for something that should be fun and enjoyable. *This is NOT a pity party comment*
I hope that whatever has happened in your life will turn into something of peace for you. {{{Hugs}}}
Definitely WASNT a pity party, you are free to say what you need to. The comic was funny and I appreciated it!
I hope you keep sharing yourself here, but only cuz you want to. I rarely have anything earth shattering to say or show on my blog, so I do it for me now, and a couple friends!!! We egg each other on!
More hugs for you, hope you'll be feeling beter!!!! smooch!
Hi Val, I didn't see your previous posts, but wanted to let you know that I appreciate the work you do to show us your creations. I check in on you every day (all the way from Australia) and love seeing your beautiful creations. But I can also guess at how much time and effort must go into blogging, so I just wanted to say "thanks for all you do". Look after yourself, Hugs, Jo
Hi Val - I saw the two previous posts because my google reader picked them up. And, let me tell you, sister, I love you! Not only because you are so REAL but also because that is the kind of thing I do all of the time, speaking before I think. Many a time I end up with my foot in my mouth. I haven't posted a comment before but I want you to know that I have been following your blog for way over a year and I love it!!!!!!!! Don't get down, sister, you are awesome and so is your blog and all of your creations! I love you, man!
I visit your blog every time there's a new post. I rarely comment on blogs - just too many I visit - but I learn so very much from you and your beautiful art. And it's okay to say what you want on your blog. Joan B always says it's less expensive than therapy. One of the reasons I feel comfortable posting on my blog is because I CAN say what I want. My readership is small but the readers I do have are of great value to me. I'm sorry you are having a time right now. Don't give up. Your blog is wonderful.
Hey Val! It's a new day and hopefully shining bright in California! I commented on your post yesterday, but no pity included...just a virtual understanding with love and {{{HUGS}}} going your way! We all have our moments with life, so I'm hoping you find peace talking about it with all of your blog readers....we will support you all the way! One can never have too many good friends. Take care, and I wish you a great day!
I agree with the comment. It seems like everyone is trying to one-up the next person. If you enjoy creating your blog, then continue. If not, don't do it. You have far too many things in life that you "have to do." If stamping is your passion, then just do that! Best of luck to you.
Hi Val, I do know what you mean, and I am not giving in to your pity party!!! lol just wanted to say I think we all have those days about our blogs, I certainly do sometimes, I look at how many people seem to have visited and then the amount of comments I don't get, lol and think blimey!!! so we all feel it. The funny thing about Google reader is that I can still see your previous posts, lol!! how bizarre is that, I read your blog everytime you comment, and like you said sometimes I don't pop in and comment, through lack of time, I am desperately trying to keep up with my Sisterhood of blogging friends at the moment!!! never enough time in the day it seems, hugs to you and chin up xx
HI Val! I too am a fan of yours and didn't see the previous posts. But...believe me...we are our own worst critics. I am sure that everyone understands, we are HUMAN. Don't sweat it, we all love you and your work!
Excuse me, but isn't this YOUR blog?! You have every right to express yourself. If you can't rant a bit here, where can you? You do not need to apologize. I think we are too often guilty of hiding our true feelings. It's not healthy psychologically. I hope whatever is going on for you improves quickly. Until then, EXPRESS YOURSELF!
I read both posts...I think we all wonder what the heck we are doing this for on occasion...and feedback is just what we need to let us know that someone out there is actually reading what we write. I notice that comments go up and down and it can be for many reasons...during periods around holidays, comments can fall off since people are busier.
Anyway, it's your blog and if you want to write about your doubts and struggles, go right ahead! And there's nothing wrong with saying, "Is anybody out there?"
Val, Whatever you do, don't go read my blog! I haven't updated since last week!! lol But I understand completely what you are saying (read it on google and mom told me some too).
Sometimes I wonder why i have a blog and there are days i don't even create that my blog goes empty.
It's your blog, you can blow off steam anytime you want to!
Hi Val, I read your blog often, but don't post comments as often as I want to - I love your creations and inspiration - I'm not sure what you said in those posts, but I get the idea. You can say what you want, it's your blog!! Take care
I read your blog, and those of lots more. Some days, I have such little time that I breeze through and don't get to post. But, you and the other ladies like yourself that blog, provide such inspiration and enjoyment. It should be something YOU enjoy if you do it; and, if you do, Do It Your Way! :-)
Hi Val, I'm glad I found your blog and have enjoyed cruising back through all your wonderful creations! I'm sure I've stopped by before but have only recently started google reader. I'm not too sure what happened but reading through the previous comments my guess is you had an off day. Which...we are all entitled!! Stop by my blog sometime if you can, I know that I'll be back. Hope it's okay but I'm going to add you to my blog right now ;) TFS your creativity!
Val - We're all entitled to one of those days (weeks, months or in my case almost year!) LOL! So, keep your chin up, post when you can. I don't comment usually, but I do read your blog and see your creations (through Google Reader!!) and love it! Hugs to you!
Hi Val, I got your back! I love your blog and all your awesome creations. I completely understand if you need to simplify your life. I have been trying to start my blog for a year. LOL! So I appreciate you taking the time out your day to share with all of us. As far as your decision to keep blogging and SU! -"God doesn't look at how much we do, but with how much love we do it." - Mother Teresa. So if you still love it, do it! Like how I added a quote just like your blog :) Just remember you are AWESOME! Big Hugs, Rach
I understand Val. The comments or lack there of, make you wonder sometimes-- what's the point. But I know I don't always comments, so it doesn't mean people aren't looking.
I love your blog. Keep on Keepin' on girl! We need your inspiration!
The comic was funny though... the blog world has become quite the bandwagon.
I didn't read your earlier posts, but I check your blog regularly and love doing so. You are so creative and provide me with lots of inspiration. I agree with all these other gals that you can post whenever you want and say whatever you want. It's your blog! Freedom of speech, sister!
Hi Val I read your blog EVERY DAY, but I NEVER comment - on anyone's blog - well hardly ever. You have made me realise how important it is to click the 'post a comment' button. I will try to comment more often. I've been blogging since August and I've only ever had about 5 comments max!! Don't give up! You're fab!! Thanks for the inspiration as always...
Wow, I feel so bad now that I've never left a comment despite the fact that I am a loyal follower of stampin' gal val! I've had company the past few days and have been kind of busy and did not see the last two posts but I'm a pretty sharp chick and figured it out. I appreciate all the beautiful work you share with us all the time and you have been a great source of inspiration to me. I'll be better. I promise!
I too read your blog almost every day. I think your creativity is amazing and I would be so sad if you decided to not blog. I didn't see your blog this week but I am hoping that you are feeling all the love coming from all these posts. WE love you and all your creativity. Hang in there. Dawn B.
I didn't see your previous posts, but can gather a little of what they were about from the posts here. I check your blog everyday. Guilty here about not leaving comments only because I check out blogs before I go to work and want to see as much as possible. I LOVE your blog!!!! You have such a wonderful style. Big HUGS from KY!!
I do not know what was previously posted, but I cn't imagine that a sweet person like you has anything to apologize for, and I am sorry something is upsetting you.
Thanks for continuing to be a source of inspiration and admiration for us all!
