It's Monday and CHF Blog Challenge Chicks time again, this week the theme was Home Decor. Hmmm, we use standard dry erase boards like crazy around here, as well as mirrors, so why not a glass picture frame?I wanted an 8" x 8" picture frame for this project and was very lucky to find this frame on the clearance rack at our local Michaels Arts and Crafts store. Why did I want that particular size? Well, that's what size the Paper Packs designed by Cornish Heritage Farms are, no need to cut the paper down, they fit perfectly.
I decided to use the Mocha Chica Paper Pack by Kim Hughes, but think of the possibilities.... changes in patterned paper choices to reflect the season! I'll be using the Thomas Kinkade papers in December for sure! The paper was gussied up with a die cut title, a couple cute paper pieced birds (to match the background paper), a green strip of paper and a length of twill tape. Things need to remain fairly flat so that the glass from the frame will rest correctly in the frame.
Why does it say "Stamp Today" on it? Well I've hardly felt like stamping since last week when I put together just about 100 cards for PTSA. But I'll have some new things to share this week with you - the SOTM on the 1st and Kim's newest sets coming on the 2nd. In between, gearing up for the launch of Arts Attack down at Brett's school again this year.
Be sure to check out the blogs of the other CHF DT gals! Links are on the left side under CHF Design Team.
Happy Monday!

Fun idea! It's such a practical and very creative piece of home decor to have around. I also like your practica approach- ie. finding an 8x8 frame to eliminate a step! :) Thanks for a great project.

Super fab project, Val! I'm thinking you need to make this an online class -- these would wildly popular teacher's gifts!!!
So great! Love this, Val!

Love your blog:)
What a great project - I could use a good reminder board! Love the birdie pair to pull out the design on the paper!
I love it! I have a transparency that I write on/off when I need to remind myself to make a card...but this is so much better! I'm off to make myself one :)
