This '38 Suburban is the second image in the GM™ line for September's release happening today over at CHF. I had in mind a vintage looking card, almost like an old photograph, when I was creating this on Wednesday.I stamped the image with StazOn Timber Brown onto a scrap of CHF's Clear Card Sheets and then flipped it over - the stamp orientation is actually the other way. Underneath the image is a scrap of vanilla card stock that has been dtp'd with Ranger Distress Inks. Four antique brads hold the 2 together eliminating the need for an adhesive. Mounted to a piece of glossy card stock that has been dtp'd and roughed up completes the image panel.
The license plate patterned paper is a Tim Holtz find at my favorite LSS and completes the vintagey look I was shooting for by adding a bit of sponging around the edges. The blue panel was edge distressed before adhering to the card (and is not that BLUE irl but rather the same shade as the Oregon license plate on the patterned paper. I'm not sure why it looks so bold here. ).
Some cards need an outside sentiment and others are fine without; this one is without as I felt it would compete too much with the license plates from the patterned paper. Plus it leaves your options open....birthday, thank you, thinking of you, Father's Day, etc.
