You're Fintastic~

Brett loves this shark image from Ocean Friends (Kim Hughes by CHF) so I thought it would be fun to make him a diminutive card ( 3-3/8 x 4-7/8) to either mail to him or put in his lunch/notebook sometime next week. He loves to get mail, so I may opt for that route....but he loves cards at school too, hmmm, decisions, decisions!

A simple layout and color scheme brings out the cute shark (can I say that, a cute shark? *grin*) that I colored with a couple shades of blue Copic markers, using dots of color to give him a textured kind of look. After coloring, he's cut out and popped up on dimensional foam. The scallop waves were a leftover strip I had from a project I had going on and I thought they would be a fun way to imply the water. Seaweed and a lobster complete the image panel. The card base is Kiwi Kiss, the strip, Tango Tangerine plus four black brads round out the card.

Happy Friday!
V.~

The reversed scallop strip is so perfect for the waves, have to remember that one! I love the textured (cute) shark, and what a sweet little ditty for Brett! You are such an awesome mom, Val1

I love this card! I got this set and it is sitting in my stamp room un-trimmed. EEEK! I need to get busy and make some cards for my kiddos. :) I am hoping some of your CHF skills will rub off on me. :)
