Flowers for Inspiration ~

ETA: Thanks so much for your words of encouragement!

More flowers from our yard - the first Bearded Iris bloom of the season, a Gerbera daisy and Indian Hawthorne. I'm hoping to find some inspiration later on by referring to these beautiful flowers. Momentarily we are off to a science expo at Balboa Park with Brett.

I am coming to the fact that floating aimlessly without a stamping focus is hard for me. For years I stamped for a reason, either creating projects for lots of SU! workshops, contests for SU!, later design team work for various stamp companies and eventually trying my hand at publication. I am in the process of evaluating where I fit in this craft and I feel that is part of my problem in finding my mojo.

If you are still here, thanks.

V.~

You poor thing....you will find your mojo again - it's too good to go missing forever! In the meantime, you certainly have a green thumb!

Take time for yourself, recharge your batteries and you'll be roaring back before you know it! And OF COURSE WE'RE STILL HERE!!

Val, you silly girl! I'm sorry you're having a rough go of it at the moment, but never doubt yourself. You're madly talented, and I have always adored your work. Take a little rest and I can't WAIT to see what you do next, I always love coming by here, even if I'm a bad girl at saying hello!

It's funny to hear you say that. I think we all have to come to that point, though. I think sometimes the design team work and always designing to others' expectations sometimes takes the fun out of it and makes us forget "our" style. I pray you'll be blessed with a new vision and joy in your crafting! And thank you for sharing the flowers. They're beautiful!!

I for one am inspired by your creations. I hope that you can create more great cards. These floral images would be a great place to start. I love flowers as much as stamping. Hugs.

Not to worry...we all have quiet times when we take a step back and gain perspective. I'm happy to admire your beautiful flowers. How lucky you are to be surrounded by such beauty. Here in Vancouver, BC, Spring is slowing colouring up our world after a long, grey winter.

WOW, what beauty and excellent photos!! I knew I had seen a light colored gerber daisy somewhere. I'm sorry I posted the question in the March 25th. comments.

I think everyone needs to come up for air and be refreshed. Don't be concerned about anyone but Valerie, what you want, what you feel, etc. I absolutely LOVE your style and I believe it will return.

When you see some fabulous inspiration your mojo will return and you'll be excited about it. Feel better and TFS.

Mojo smojo! Why should we feel we HAVE to create perfection all the time. Trust the process, Val. Be wherever you are, who you are, now.

I haven't stamped in quite a while, but I am not worried about it. My hobby is here to serve me when I want to express myself, and I am not chained and impervious to change as a result. The thought has occurred to me that it may not play as large a role in my future as it did in my past, and although an adjustment, I am okay with that. There will be new adventures to be discovered even as others lose their luster. Whatever your direction, make it yours!

Just wanted to tell you that I struggle with this issue myself and I have finally come to the realization that if I need a week/month/ or even longer to re-charge then so be it! I think sometimes we lose sight that this is supposed to be a fun hobby and it is something we enjoy doing. I have decided to refuse to make myself unhappy or feel bad because I'm not "into it". The mojo and "want" will come back...it always does. So, hugs and just take some R&R time, don't force it and it will come back. In the meantime....we will all be here.

Don't worry. The mojo will come back, sometimes it just needs a rest.
I enjoy your style and ideas. I'll be patient at my end, and you just BREATHE at your end... LOL
I know it isn't that easy sometimes, but don't worry too much, it'll happen...
