Scalloped Basket template/quick tutorial~

There have been a few requests for the template for the baskets below, it's rather an easy little basket to make. I politely request that you use this template for personal/non-commercial use only.
  • Paper size is 8" x 8-1/2"
  • With the 8" side at the top fence of the Scor-Pal, score at 2-1/2" and 5-1/2"
  • Rotate paper 1/4 turn so the 8-1/2" side is at the top fence and score at 3-1/2" and 5"
  • Cut down the long scores ( 2-1/2" and 5-1/2") to where the score lines intersect. This will create the basket front and back. Four cuts in all.
  • On the short side, create 3/4" flaps along each score line.
  • Scallop edges of front and back - if using patterned paper ( 3" x 3-1/2" ) adhere before scalloping.
  • Punch holes for ribbon handles.
  • Adhere box together using Scor-Tape on the flaps.
  • Add ribbon handles, knotting through the 1/4" holes. I used 12" lengths of ribbon.
  • Decorate and fill with yummy treats.

Thank you Val!!! I love how you make tutorials "do-able" instead of being so complicated!!

Hey Val, I will for sure try this basket out. I have not been back to "Paper Tales" since your class but I will in another month or so.
