Let's Hop for Gina K's Botanicals!~

Tonight I am sharing a few samples made with Gina's Card Kit set, Botanicals - it arrived at a time when I needed to make 3 sympathy cards. What a perfect set for cards that can be more difficult for so many.

I kept them all similar in look by using the same cardstock, patterned paper, and embellishments. The layout of each is very similar but each is just a tad different whether it's landscape, portrait or square. Sentiment on front of card is from Spring Florals, the sentiment from Botanicals, "so sorry, thoughts and prayers are with you" is stamped inside.

Changing to a happier card I made this one, again using the same layout.

And finally, I've had one of these turnabouts for some time and have been thinking about what to put into the empty panel ever since. The flower image from this set and this inspirational sentiment from Inside and Out were exactly what I had been looking for to complete the empty panel. The other small label holders were changed out to match the patterned paper from my inspirational panel.

Paper was cut to fit, stamped, distressed and randomly stitched before sliding into the slot. Button/ribbon/thread combo and butterfly were added afterward to complete the panel.

No Paper, No Bag, No Problem~

My nephew's 18th birthday party is fast approaching this weekend. I started to wrap his gift today and quickly discovered we had no "guy" wrapping paper left and the gift bags we have on hand were either the wrong size, gender or occasion. No problem! DCWV Naturals Stack patterned paper and my trusty Scor-Pal to the rescue! A custom made box saves the day (and my wallet, too!).

Finished box size is 5-1/4" x 6-1/2" x 1-3/4" and his Griffin iTrip fits perfectly inside!
Copper accents embellish the tag - I could finally use the copper brads and hanger that have been patiently waiting forever as they match the patterned paper perfectly!

Quite the Catch Blog Hop~

Hello there, welcome to the Quite a Catch blog Hop Event!

Just a quick description of my card so you can continue hopping along:

This cute crabby is stamped onto Pure Luxury Ivory cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black and quickly dunked into clear embossing powder. After embossing, he was colored in with Prismacolor colored pencils. After he was colored in, he was mounted to a red mat that has been edge distressed.

The sentiment was stamped on PL Ivory, punched out, pierced and trimmed a bit before mounting at the bottom of the card on dimensional foam. A second sentiment was stamped in Vivid! Brick and the single word "crabby" was cut out and popped up over the aqua.

A reverse scallop border from GK Turquoise Gem cardstock makes a wave effect atop the October Afternoon patterned papers. A satin bow and four silver mini brads finish things off.

Finished card is 5" x 5"
