An Apple A Day.....

No, wait, a Subway sandwich a day...keeps the hungry away.   It became a tradition of sorts to give the Principal and Vice Principal at our high school gift cards to Subway (located across the street from campus) at various times throughout the year.  A full school year has passed and now Brett is entering as a freshman.  Time to start it up again.

I figured I was always cutting strips and notching the ends to make banners that maybe it was time to get a banner die set.  WPlus9 has one that fit the bill, Banner Trio, it arrived yesterday along with this new little mini set, Pretty Patches Apple, and its companion die.

Apple is inked in Rhubarb Stalk and the stem in Rich Cocoa.
Edges of image panel, apple, and grid paper are lightly daubered with Desert Sand.
A simple inside pocket similar to this one will hold the gift card.

As these little gift card holder cards are for men and I did not want the heart portion of the apple to show, I simply die cut a banner strip and stamped it with "Hey There" from Heartfelt Mix.  Popped up with dimensionals and one would never know that there is a cute little heart underneath!

Finished card is 3-3/8" x 4-7/8"

I had never heard of WPlus9 before but have been looking for some new cute stamps and dies for all the teacher, staff and classmate cards and treats I make for my girls. Their stuff is perfect for my needs and very budget friendly! I can always count on your blog for inspiration! Thanks!
