GKD Inspiration Hop Day 2

First, and foremost, as I am scheduling this post Sandy is wrecking havoc on the east coast.
My thoughts and well wishes go out to those are in the path of this whopper and who have been affected by the landfall of the hurricane and its aftermath.

We're inspiration blog hopping today with a few of Gina K Designs newest sets.
I am showing Deck the Halls by Beth Silaika, the latest Freckled & Fun set.
This set is a fun image building set with ornaments, lights, a string/wire, toppers and sentiments.

I saw this layout the other day by Lime Doodle and wanted to use it for a card.   I saw it again in a card by Beate.  Well, I still really wanted to use the layout so I hopped on the train and made this card using Deck the Halls.

I love the shape of this ornament, it reminds me of my grandparents and the tree they had in their living room when I was growing up.

Stamps: Deck the Halls clear
Ink: Memento Pistachio and Love Letter, Versafine Vintage Sepia
Paper: GKD Pure Luxury Ivory
Patterned Paper: Authentique Paper Festive Collection
Other: Red satin ribbon, Clip, Notebook Edge die, Corner rounder, Dimensional foam

I also created a package tag using one of the round ornaments and sentiments from the set.

Stamps: Deck the Halls clear
Ink: Memento Pistachio and Love Letter, Versafine Vintage Sepia
Paper: GKD Pure Luxury Ivory, Cherry Red, Fresh Asparagus
Patterned Paper: Authentique Paper Festive Collection
Other: Spellbinders Labels 10, Petite Scallop Circle and Circle Dies, Red satin ribbon, Eyelet, Linen thread, Dimensional foam

Be sure to follow the rest of the hop, beginning at

Both are so pretty. Love how you used the notebook edge on the card. Love that it adds without bulk.

The card and tag are both beautiful! It's never wrong to use the same layout, 'cause it always is unique.
