It's That Time of Year~

Time for college and high school graduations to begin.

Another simple money holder/ gift card holder inside a card for a graduate.

Card is smaller scaled at 3-3/8" x 5" and made in the school colors of the graduate.
I adhered the patterned paper to a piece of cardstock before adhering to the base to give it a bit more heft.
Pocket begins at 3-1/4" x 3.5" and is scored 1/2" on 3 sides, corners are nipped and a half circle punched on the non scored side.  Scor-Tape is applied to the flaps before adhering to the inside of the card.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Money, Money, Money~

Money holder card for teen birthday party Brett is heading to this weekend.
I never quite know if his friend's think it's dorky to get a homemade card or not......but I do know that they enjoy the contents.

Finished holder is 4.25" x 4.5"

To make:
Cut base to 4.25" x 11"
Score at 2" and 6.5"
Notch the scored short end with a circle punch, adhere Scor-Tape to inside top and bottom only of flap, and adhere to make a pocket for cash or a gift card.
Decorate as desired.

Cleaning Up, Giveaway #3

I love Nestabilites and use them in just about every project I make.

These were gifted to me and have been used once, they are beautiful but too ornate for my style.

I would like them to be used and shown off by someone that will love and enjoy them.

If you would like to win this set called Banner Basics Two and live in the United States, just leave a comment telling me your "go to" Nestabilities die set if you have one, or if this set would be your first.

I will draw the winner on Tuesday, May 15, and post the winning name on this blog.
From there, we will coordinate to get your mailing address.

Cleaning Up, Giveaway #2

Many people love 6 x 6 papers.
Many people love Gina K Designs.

This giveaway is 3 different collections of 6 x 6 loose, one sided, patterned papers from Gina K Designs.

I have always gravitated towards 12 x 12 sheets and double sided, it is just what I use.  So these have been sitting for far too long.

I want them to be enjoyed by one lucky winner.

If you would like to win all the papers shown here and live in the United States, just leave a comment telling me if you have ever used any of Gina K Designs paper - Patterned or Pure Luxury.

I will draw the winner on Tuesday, May 15, and post the winning name on this blog.
From there, we will coordinate to get your mailing address.

Reinker Play~

Played with color yesterday afternoon for about an hour.
Reinkers, watercolor paper and black embossed images.

Dotted effect made by sprinkling table salt on the watercolor paper after dropping the ink onto the wet watercolor paper.  Dry thoroughly with a heat tool before embossing images.

ETA: Custom box just made this morning for the gift that goes with the middle card up above.
Much better than wrapping paper for the box inside and hopefully will be kept with trinkets or treasures after its intended use as a gift box.  Sentiment from PSA Essentials.

A Few Flowers~

that have bloomed in our yard this spring.

And my morning project, the last gift project for Teacher Appreciation Week,
a flower can for her desk.  Instead of making the pencils into flowers, I decorated the outside of the tin I found at Target with name printed patterned paper chipboard flowers.  Mini brads anchor the flowers to the tin and flatten inside but do not interfere with the pencils.  With testing coming up, I am sure there will be a need for new #2 pencils for some of the kids. :)

Paper by Basic Grey
Nestabilities Scallop Circle Die and Foliage Die, Mini brads, Striped ribbon, Bakers twine.

Just the card left to make!
