I think I am still recovering from spending 3 days at the famous Comic Con San Diego that ended on Sunday. I walked the floors and took in the sights while Brett and his 2 friends did their thing.
It was our first time (Brett and I) and I learned there is a lot to learn about attending. Next time, I will be better prepared! It was still so much fun to see the exhibits, movie stars and all the costumed characters. I would not trade one minute of the chaos I spent with my son, he was in heaven!
I was giddy when we bumped into Jason Ritter outside of The Hard Rock. He stars in one of my favorite television shows, Parenthood, and was as nice and friendly as I expected him to be. He was so gracious to let me have a photo op with him. He made my Saturday! :)
Jay's birthday is today and these are the tags and card that I made yesterday to go along with his gifts.
I found Old Guys Rule patterned paper when I was out looking for paper for thank you card sets at the end of the school year. I had no idea that was a line that was out there, but I guess it is not being made anymore which is a sad thing. It is a great paper for those who favor this line of clothing, which Jay does.
The wedding is less than 2 weeks away, time has flown!
Simple wedding card for my neighbor who got married this weekend up in Sonoma.
I made their invites and thought that it would be fun to make their wedding card using the same colors, stamp set, font and patterned paper.
So, something happened last week that has put my shoulders back into a bit of a tizzy. I have been making so much progress that it is a bit defeating to have gone backwards a little bit. Not unusual, I suppose, but discouraging. So scoring those grid lines was slow and methodical.....
Finished card is 5-1/2" x 5-1/2"
Sentiment is computer generated and then die cut with a Spellbinders die.
The floral image from Crafty Secrets Flourishes is stamped in Rich Razzleberry.
Grid panel was made using my Scor-Pal; scored on the diagonal every half inch, rotated 180 degrees and repeated.
Ribbon is wrapped around image panel and then the entire panel is mounted to the base with dimensional foam.
Other: Nestabilities Circle and Petite Scallop Circle dies, Square punch (banner end on red strip of patterned paper), SU! Spiral punch, Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher, SU! Library Clip, Dauber, Distressing tool, Piercing ruler, Dimensional foam
