Celebrate Times 2~

Two friends celebrating birthdays within days of each other kept me busy yesterday making a card (to go along with her water polo frame) and a tag/bag topper for a gift card for the other.

Using the same stamps, dies, punches and such kept my area from exploding more than usual.

So Who Knew......

that taking the water polo pictures would evolve into this project?

 

A friends birthday is coming up and I want to make her one of these altered frames, but as I have never done anything like this before I wanted to fuss around with one before making her gift.

Since I am taking pictures of the team I have a variety of pictures to choose from of her son.

The only new supplies were the frame and holder plus the metal corners, the rest came from my stash of oldies.

Official, Unofficial.....

Team photographer for the high school water polo novice team.  Taking 100's - 1000's of pics, editing, separating into individual files for the players, burning discs and creating a slideshow for the end of season banquet.  It will be lots of fun!

Here are just a few of the pictures of my son from the last couple of games. 

So while my mojo may still be missing, I am enjoying this creative project!

Boxed Fishies and Water Sports~

A friend saw the fish tag book I made for Jay for Father's Day and asked me if I ever made/sold things.  Well, I sure do.  She wanted just the tags (not a booklet) and for each to have a spot for a picture of her favorite fishing guys.  All have a pocket on the back of the tag for a gift card or whatnot.  A little ribbon variety for tying, a cello with loose tags so she can customize the larger tags even further, and all enclosed in a simple box and it's ready to deliver.

This has been what the last several months has been comprised of, water polo; a new sport to our family.  Brett participated in a late spring training camp, played in a summer program and just finished up 3 weeks of hell week for high school water polo; 2 practices a day, 6 days a week.  Lots of back and forth to the pool, sunscreen and chlorine!  The season unofficially started on Thursday with a preseason game and regular season play begins on Wednesday with daily practices every night. 

He "found" his sport and we are so happy! 

He officially starts high school on Tuesday and is excited for this new chapter in his academic life.

At the same time, he is not ready to let go of summer yet.  Oh, do I remember those days!
