Water Polo Wrap Up~

A photo album thank you book for the coach.  There is a page with a photo of each player individually, as well as a team picture.  The last page is a pocket that houses a thank you letter and cash card.
My LSS carries custom scrapbook paper for the local high schools, it was a must for this album.
Image was designed by Morgan.  Banner title computer generated before die cutting with a banner die.
Blank album is from Michaels and has a clear cover to protect it.

I burned a disc for each JV and Novice player that has all the pictures that I took of them this season (that turned out) as well as a copy of the slideshow I created for the banquet.  All tied up with baker's twine and a computer generated tag from the image Morgan designed.

And finally, an album for one of the water polo moms who celebrated a birthday last week who was so welcoming and nice to us "newbies."  She admired the accordion book I made for another mom, so using the same papers and images I created an album from chipboard for her.  There are 6 photos of her son playing, each page has a simple accent word or phrase that was stamped or computer generated.

Paper Smooches stamps, October Afternoon papers, Chipboard cut to 6" x 6", Nestabilities dies, Oval punch, Crop-a-dile, Gingham ribbon, clip and dimensional foam.

Tuesday is the banquet and the official end to this season.  I miss it already.

Chocolate Cheer~

Fun little holiday gifts I whipped up this afternoon to take to a couple of things I have coming up.

Cute little miniature baking pans are from Michaels.  I was looking for a basket or something to put the paper wrapped nuggets into and stumbled upon these on sale for a buck, perfect.

Patterned papers are by Carta Bella and are leftover from a class I did down at Paper Tales
Snowflake punch is by EK Success
Snowflake is punched out of GKD Ocean Mist cardstock and the edges are inked with white pigment ink
Banner punch by WPlus9
Sentiment stamped in white pigment ink is from Sentiment Sampler by Paper Smooches
A clear button and a twine attached button adorn the white ink edged snowflake
Red grosgrain ribbon from my stash
Cello bags are from SU! and already sealed up tight so no one eats the nuggets! :)

What are your go to easy hostess gifts during the holiday season?

Spotless to....

Chaos in 60 minutes.

End result, set of 8 cards for part of my mom's birthday present.  She should be set for a few months anyway. :)

Layout the same as the Christmas card below.
Hero Arts flower stamps from my small stash of woodmounted stamps.
All are direct to stamp markered and spritzed with water before stamping onto the tag shape.

Assorted patterned papers from Jillybean Soup, Webster's Pages, My Mind's Eye and October Afternooon
Cardstock by GKD and SU!
The Twinery Baker's Twine in matching colors embellish the top of the tag.  Each flower is smudged with Stickles.

Happy Birthday sentiments by Gina K Designs and another clear set I own.
Inside sentiments are stamped on die cut shapes to adhere to the inside as she wishes.

Now it's back to being spotless again.  Time to mess it up soon!

GKD Show Me The Stamps: Deck the Halls ~

Using Deck the Halls I created 10 Stars & Stripes holiday cards for the troops stockings that my friend is putting together.

Finished size is A2; 4-1/4"  x 5-1/2"
  • I stamped the star ornament in navy ink onto an ivory scrap, circle punched it and adhered it to the ivory panel with dimensional  foam. The hanger and wire are stamped in silver ink, the sentiment in red.
  • The navy panel was embossed with a Cuttlebug snowflakes folder and trimmed to 4" x 5-1/4" before adhering to the base.
  • A strip of striped patterned paper, a spiral punch and corner rounder plus a ribbon bow embellish the image panel.  The completed image panel is adhered to the embossed base with dimensional foam.

Party Favors~

When I dropped off the birthday card for mom today she showed me what she was going to use for the party favors at each table setting at lunch tomorrow.  I did not know she was hosting this month. The big box craft store salesperson directed her to the wedding aisle for cello bags, the wedding aisle, really?  Not the Wilton area?  Silver hearts on much too big of bags are okay for some situations, but not for a fall luncheon.  Anyway, after I ran my few errands I came home and quickly put this favor kit together for her.  Dad came down and picked them up and...

and this is what they look like now.

Pretty snazzy!

Happy Birthday, Bev~

I talked to my mom earlier on the phone and she was at the store picking out a card for a dear friend.  *gasp* She had used up all the cards I have given her and was buying a card.
Nope, sorry, that won't do.
So I quickly made up this card before dinner and will take it to her tomorrow.

All supplies are older in nature and from my stash of stuff.

Hero Arts script inked in Memento Desert Sand.
Hero Arts flower was colored directly on the stamp, misted with water and stamped over script.
Flower is glittered with Stickles.
Happy Birthday stamped in Versafine Vintage Sepia
Brown ink spatters made using a brown marker and spritzer tool.
Torn edge vellum is machine stitched to bottom of image panel.
Clip and satin ribbon attached.
Image panel is adhered to patterned paper covered, corner rounded base.

Happy Election Eve~

Stacked Sentiments~

I stacked 7 different Paper Smooches sentiments on top of one another on a long block to create this fun focal image for my mom's birthday card.  A simple flower image stamped in Dandelion, with a brad center, ties it into the patterned paper.

A notebook edge die cut strip, October Afternoon papers, black ribbon, and a clip complete the card.
